Applications have now closed
Registering in a school that operates an application procedure?
The application period ran from 7 January up to and including 1 February 2019 (4 p.m.) and is now closed. You can continue to view your place application file until 29 April but you can no longer amend it.
Does your child qualify for priority status Dutch, GOK or non-GOK? If so, you will need to provide documentary evidence in support. Between 4 and 22 February, the school or the network of your 1st choice will check your documents. You will receive an invitation to that effect.
Haven’t received any invitation by 15 February? In that case, contact the school to make an appointment. Mind! What if you don’t forward the relevant documents to the school in time? In that case, your child will lose its priority status. Its name will remain on the application list however.
Place allocation notification
By 13 March at the latest, you should receive a place allocation notification. The place allocation notification will tell you whether your child has a place in a school of your choice. Go to the school between 13 March and 2 April.
Are you applying for a place in a school that does not operate an application procedure?
Do you wish to register your child for 1A and 1B in a school that does not operate an application procedure? Go to the school between 13 March and 2 April and register your child. Schools without an application procedure for 1A and 1B cannot refuse to register a pupil for capacity reasons during this period.
Here you will find an overview of all the schools, whether they operate an application procedure or not (in Dutch).
Registering in a school for a higher grade
Need to register your child in the 2nd grade? Or in a higher grade? Go to the school between 24 April and 9 May 2019 and register your child.
