How is capacity determined?
The school determines its overall capacity (= maximum number of places) before registrations commence. If the school does not set its capacity, it cannot refuse pupils on the grounds of capacity either.
Schools are free to increase their capacity. Reducing their capacity is not an option however.
Schools determine their capacity at specific levels which they tend to select themselves. They do inform the LOP accordingly however. Is one level 'full'? In that case also, the school in question will notify the LOP.
